![]() I could trade in my Voyage for $50 off plus 20% off the Oasis 3, but will be holding off. While I've never had a need for waterproof features, I just keep my Voyage in my bag when at the beach, then just dry off before I use it, it would be cool to have. The only thing I really want from the Oasis is the warmer lighting, although I've been quite happy with the light on the copy of the Voyage I have, but it would be nice for sure. I don't care about audible books in the slightest, and 4gb is plenty for my text only book consumption. ![]() I do switch between my left and right hands while reading, and I can do that seamlessly with the Voyage without having to flip it around like the Oasis since the pageturn buttons are on both sides. Big thing is the size, the Voyage just fits in pockets and small sling bags I have, where the oasis with it's larger screen plus its additional obtrusion will not. I have the 3G model and the battery does go quick, but still has been pretty good about a week with two hours or so a day. Oh and the warm light is superb it looks like I'm reading an actual page! I've tried audible and it works as advertised, love that you can switch from book to audio and back and keep your place between the two, but don't like you can't read and listen at the same time. I'm LOVING the bigger screen and the actual buttons, compared to the haptic sides of the Voyage. I thought the bigger device would tire my hands, but it has not ever since I got the case. Not sure if I'm holding it different or what. Since I got a case, an origami-type like I had with my Voyage, I no longer have that issue. ![]() The edge of device resting in my palm would wear it after a few minutes. Before I got a case, reading the the naked Oasis with one hand actually felt uncomfortable. I'm left-handed, although I read with both hands. I wanted to wait for a Voyage 2 (Voyage size but a warm light) but after researching that rumor was unfounded. I got the Oasis 3 two weeks ago after six years with the Voyage.īefore I bought the Oasis, I was going to keep the Voyage because I thought I liked the smaller form-factor the main reason for me upgrading would be the warm light.
